The Department of Geriatrics at Narayana Health offers world-class care, designed to improve elderly patients’ independence, and well-being. At Narayana Health, care for the elderly people covers multiple fields, including Nephrology, Neurology, Urology, Urology, Orthopaedics and Cardiology. Specially trained and experienced medical staff ensures that the elderly people are provided with the care and attention that they require and deserve.
While India is a very young nation, with more than 50% of its population below the age of 25, the number of elderly people is more than 70 million. With improved healthcare and life expectancies, this number is only going to increase in the future. The medical needs of the elderly people are very different from those of adults and the field of Geriatrics specializes in tending to those needs.
