Brief Profile
Dr Gaurav Joshi is a Senior Consultant in the Department of Minimal Access and GI Surgery. He is extensively trained in Minimal Access Surgery with special interests in advanced Laparoscopic procedures of Bariatric and Metabolic surgery, gastrointestinal oncology, hepatobiliary, pancreatic, biliary tract tumours, and colorectal malignancies.
He has a rich experience of more than 10 years in his field and has performed more than 1000 complex Laparoscopic gastrointestinal surgeries. Dr Gaurav has been trained at the prestigious All India Institute of medical sciences, New Delhi (AIIMS) for 9 years. He is currently the one and only M.Ch Minimal Access Surgeon in the state of Chhattisgarh. Trained with Professor Sandeep Aggarwal, who is an internationally known Bariatric surgeon. Trained with Professor Rajinder Parshad, who is an internationally known thoracic and upper GI tract surgeon. He has numerous national and international publications and book chapters to his credit. Dr Gaurav is now working to establish a Cadaveric transplant programme in the state.
