Dr. Kriti Hegde has completed MD (Paediatrics) from Dr. DY Patil Medical College and Hospital & Research Centre, Navi Mumbai and later pursued Fellowship of Indian Academy of Paediatrics in Paediatric Haematology and Oncology from Lokmanya Tilak Municipal and General Hospital, Sion, Mumbai. She has also been a Clinical Fellow, Paediatric Haematology-Oncology in Great Ormond Street Hospital, London. Working at prestigious and high-volume centres like LTMGH and TMH in Mumbai, she has honed her clinical and procedural skills pertaining to Paediatric Haematology-Oncology. She has a keen interest in Late Effects and has an experience in conducting late effects Clinic at TMH, Mumbai. In the 2 years of training in United Kingdom Dr. Kriti has taken part in presenting complicated cases in interdepartmental as well as national MDT. Her time at Great Ormond Street Hospital has trained her in delivering treatment to children previously deemed to have poor outcome and go above and beyond in trying to find available options especially in the day and age of targeted therapy including Immunotherapy. Her outlook towards treating cancer has broadened and taught her, her role as a clinician is to be compassionate and provide holistic care. Dr. Kriti Hegde also has a keen interest in Clinical Governance and strives to maintain high standards. She has taken part in many audits and organized various MDTs between allied teams (such as psychosocial, occupation and physiotherapy) to optimize care for children with complex needs. During undergraduate and postgraduate training, she has organized and hosted many camps, workshops, presentations and cultural activities.
