Dr. Vinay Joshi has managed more than 1500 high-risk babies (inborn and out born) with the survival rate in the neonatal ICU ~ 98.2% (which is at par with leading NICUs in the US and West). He is an attending neonatologist for over 5000 deliveries. Dr. Vinay Joshi has successfully discharged 4 of the quintuplet premature babies (average weight 800 grams), which is a national record. He has also successfully managed smallest babies weighing 450 grams and 530 grams and managed more than 50 babies with severe respiratory failure using high frequency ventilation and inhaled nitric oxide therapy with 98% survival rate. Dr. Vinay Joshi has handled transport of more than 100 critically sick newborns and around 50 babies with complex surgical problems. He is an expert in management of children head injuries, brain surgeries and neurological problems (brain infections), severe infections like malaria, dengue, sepsis and shock using advanced therapies (dialysis). He has managed ~ 10 children requiring Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation (ECMO), advanced form of heart-lung transport in extremely sick cardiac patients. He has presented more than 50 papers in national and international conferences and has Publications in 15 national and international journals and textbooks.
