Brief Profile

After graduation, Dr. Debdatta Bhattacharya completed his internship and house officer training in Calcutta Medical College. Thereafter, He was trained for a year in Cardiology that led to the awarding of a Diploma in Cardiology by Calcutta University. Following this he gained admission to the MD course through and simultaneously carried clinical work. Dr. Debdatta Bhattacharya

gained valuable experience in General Medicine. He then gained a Certificate of completion of Specialized training in Cardiology by the Joint Committee of Higher Medical training in the United Kingdom. He acquired a broad knowledge in the field of Adult Cardiology and General Medicine and also acquired extensive experience in both invasive and non-invasive cardiac procedures. Dr. Debdatta Bhattacharya also performed and reported extensively in echocardiography and was trained to perfom oesophageal echocardiography. During his final year He acquired extensive experience in lnterventional Cardiology especially in the field of coronary angioplasty. During his training he carried out in excess of three hundred procedures as the first operator and assisted in excess of five hundred procedures as second operator. During his training, he acquired a great deal of exposure in general medicine at both at SHO and Registrar levels and developed clinical, diagnostic and management skills of a wide variety of medical disorders, both acute and chronic.

✔ Actively involved in the training of DNB cardiology trainees & trainees in the course of Diploma in the clinical cardiology for the past 12 years

✔ Also involved in mentoring junior consultants in invasive procedures

✔ Regular participant in CMEs and seminars as speaker, moderator, presenter both National and international level seminars

✔ Participated 1st operator in LIVE workshop in National level interventional conferences

✔ Trained fellow colleagues in IVUS procedures

✔ Performed ROTA cases and also trained other colleagues in Rotablation procedures
