Dr.Shanmukh Hiremath completed his MBBS from KIMS, Bangalore in the year 1991, He has completed his MS Surgery from JJMMC, Davangere in 1995 and Mch (CVTS) in 2001 from prestigious Sri Jayadeva Institute of Cardiovascular Sciences, Bangalore. He has immense experience in the field having worked for nearly 25 years. Having graduated from Jayadeva institute of cardiology. He was part of the core team which started the new and present Jayadeva institute of cardiac sciences and worked relentlessly day and night for the successful establishment of the largest premier cardiac institute of India. He is experticed in beating heart surgery. He has also worked in various premier institutes like Amrita institute Kochi, SVIMS Tirupathi and was part of the team which started Columbia Asia Hospital. In the last 25 years he has assisted and performed more than 10000 Cardiothoracic and Vascular procedures. His main fields of interest are beating heart surgery, cardiac surgery in critically ill patients, Valve repair and replacements, cardiac tumor surgery, mediastinal tumors, aortic aneurysms. He has also performed CABG on 72yr old lady weighing 25kgs a first of its kind. He is trained in heart lung transplant surgery in Australia and United Kingdom. He is also part of many heart transplants done in Ramaiah hospital NH Bangalore.
