  • Dr. Yasir S. Rizvi is an alumnus of the prestigious All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi, where he completed his training in Nephrology in 2012. He completed his MBBS and MD in General Medicine from Maulana Azad Medical College, New Delhi and was awarded Sudhir Rehan Gold Medal in MD Medicine. Following his DM training in Nephrology, he joined Vardhaman Mahavir Medical College & associated Safdarjung Hospital, New Delhi, in 2013 as faculty in Nephrology. He was instrumental in the initiation of Renal transplant programme at Safdarjung Hospital in 2013 and subsequently deceased donor (cadaver transplant) programme was also started in 2016 under his supervision. He served as Head of Department of Nephrology at VMMC and Safdarjung Hospital before joining Narayana Health in 2018 and has a vast experience in managing patients with glomerular diseases including lupus nephritis, chronic kidney diseases, hypertension, diabetic nephropathy, kidney stones, hemodialysis and kidney transplants.He has been actively involved in research and training and has numerous publications in national and international journals to his credit. Having a special interest in the prevention of kidney diseases, he has also featured in Health Talks in various programmes.
