His highest academic qualification M.Ch in Surgical Oncology, was obtained from Tata Memorial Hospital, Mumbai. For 7 years, he lead the Department of Surgical Oncology at the Punjab unit of Tata Memorial Centre and took efforts to expand the scope & services of Department of Surgical Oncology, keeping a patient centric approach.
