    • Guillain-BarrĂ© syndrome:  a condition in which the immune system starts attacking the Central Nervous System
    • Traumatic brain injury (TBI): caused due to a blow or jolt to the head
    • Brain tumours: tumours are abnormal growth in the brain that can cause a variety of symptoms and complications

Signs and Symptoms of Brain Conditions

    • Sensory changes like changes in vision, hearing, or sensation. This might be due to the deterioration of the brain’s sensory pathways.

Types of Effective Neurological Treatments for Brain Conditions

Neurological care involves the ongoing management of neurological conditions, including medications, monitoring, and support services. Read a few important types of Common Neurological Treatments below:

Brain therapy uses various techniques to stimulate the brain and improve brain function. These techniques can comprise transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS), which stimulates brain nerve fibres using magnetic properties. Also, electroconvulsive therapy (ECT) uses electrical currents to stimulate the brain and improve mood.

Neurorehabilitation is a treatment that aims to help patients recover from neurological injuries or diseases. This can include physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy and other forms of rehabilitation designed to help patients regain function and improve their quality of life.

Neural interventions treat neurological conditions by directly affecting the nerves or neural pathways in the body. These can include nerve blocks, which are injections of local anaesthetics that can aid in relieving pain.

Importance of Seeking Early Treatment for Brain Conditions

Here listed are some of the reasons why it is important to seek early Neurological treatment for brain conditions:

    • Preventing disease progression: Early treatment can help slow or prevent disease progression, improving long-term outcomes.
    • Managing symptoms: Early treatment can help manage these symptoms and improve quality of life.
    • Improving treatment effectiveness: certain medications may be more effective when started early.
    • Reducing the risk of complications: Early management of symptoms can help reduce the risk of these complications.
