So finally, Diwali has ended. After a month long celebrations and festivities of Navratri, Durga Puja, Dussehra and Deepawali, the favorite time of the year has come to an end.

With the remembrance of glittering lights, hymns of holy mantras, fragrances of dhoop and finger-licking delicacies, people across India are now stepping back into the daily mundane life and are taking a count on calories intake. From delectable laddoos made in desi ghee to rich luscious gravies and pooris, we all must have binged on all these good foods which would have backtracked us from our fitness goals by adding some extra weight to our bodies.

Now it’s the time to do some corrective actions of rejuvenating our health and bodies and how you ask?

By indulging in a detox diet.

Here are some superfoods that you can consume to detoxify your body –

Water:

The best and cheapest way to flush out all the toxins from the body is by drinking enough water. Water keeps you hydrated and clears up the system from all toxins, chemicals, and excessive fat and sugar. 2-4 liters of water should be good enough to keep you well hydrated.

Lemons:

Mix some lemon with lukewarm water and drink this every morning empty stomach. Not only it will help you clear out the toxins, but it also will help you burn some excess body fat and will also keep your digestive system happy.

Honey:

Lemon, honey and warm water – a morning ritual that you should not miss out. Together, these three ingredients can work magic on your body and gastrointestinal tract. Take this drink empty stomach, every morning and get a clear of bloating, constipation, fat and much more. And not to forget, lemons are rich in vitamin C so get ready for some clear, bright skin.

Green tea:

Green tea is rich in antioxidants and acts wonders to detoxify the body system. It gives a boost to your metabolism and helps in reducing that extra weight.

Ginger:

Mix some ginger with rock salt and lemon and get rid of many stomach related issues like bloating, gas, indigestion. Ginger contains antioxidants that are good for the body and helps build immunity. Winter is coming and you surely need some immunity booster to keep your body fit and infection-free.

Curd:

Curd is a natural probiotic and has ‘friendly bacteria’ that are good for your guts. It helps in boosting your immunity, protects your system against harmful toxins, aids digestion and also cools your body.

Garlic:

Spice like garlic is loaded with nutrients that have immense health benefits. Garlic contains supplements that are great immunity boosters and also helps in detoxifying your body.

Cinnamon:

Cinnamon is one of the healthiest spices that you can find in your kitchen. Right from being loaded with antioxidants to reducing the risk of heart diseases and controlling blood sugar levels, this spice has a huge range of health benefits.

Beetroots:

This bright superfood has goodness and nutrients both in roots and leaves. With the roots that are packed with antioxidants, vitamin C and leaves that are rich in calcium, iron and vitamin A, this is one of the healthiest vegetables that you can bank on.

Fresh Fruits:

Fruits are loaded with vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants that not only help improves digestion but also improves the skin and hair appearance. Apart from the vitamins, fruits are rich sources of fiber which will help in healthy bowel movement.
